Okay. Um. Hi ya'll. I'm new. And I just had a question. And maybe this isn't allowed, but it is about King Arthur ... so. Anyway. I'll just ask the question, shall I? I was recently reading some quotes from the movie and found a couple I couldn't remember hearing. So I thought I'd ask and see if anyone could tell me where they are in the movie, so I can try and remember. Anyway, thanks for any help.

1. Galahad: Imagine what a lovely, quiet place the world would be if everyone had their throats slit.

2. Gawain: The gifts the gods gave me I use in battle or in bed.

3. Tristan: We knights are blessed in that we do not run from it. We seek it, grasp it by the throat and demand honor in our passing.

and 4. Bors: I'm alright! Let's kill them all!

I don't remember any of these. Is it just me?

Well I hope none of them are in the movie because they all speak direwctly against what is so iportant to the knights in the legends. Each one has a specific virtue they emulate and these all go directly against them. (well except Tristan that is, I have n't read much with him so I don't know his character)

None of those are in the Director's Cut but I think I heard somewhere that they are in the Theatrical Cut, which I did not see. But I plan on renting it from Blockbuster, sadly only on VHS because that's the only medium they have the PG-13 version on. But I haven't even heard mention of the last two quotes you have up there. The first two by Gawain and Galahad I only know of because they were on the memorable quotes page of King Arthur at www.imdb.com.

Here are some more missing quotes that you didn't already mention:

Bors: I like the little bastards. They mean something to me. Especially Number Three! He's a good fighter!
Lancelot: That's because he's mine.

---

Gawain: I can't wait to leave this island. If it's not raining, it's snowing, and if it's not snowing, it's foggy.
Lancelot: And that's summer.

---

Bors: Well, now that we're free men, I'm gonna drink 'till I can't piss straight.
Gawain: You do that every night.
Bors: I never could piss straight. Too much of myself to handle down there...
[looks at the Knights]
Bors: Well, it's a problem! No really, it is. It's a problem. It's like...
Bors, Gawain, Lancelot, Tristan, Galahad, Dagonet: [together] ... a baby's arm holding an apple.

---

Lancelot: Hey Bors. You intend to take Vanora and all your little bastards back home?
Bors: Oh I'm trying to avoid that decision... by getting killed.

---

Bors: Dagonet, she wants to get married and give the children names.
Tristan: Women! The children already have names, don't they?
Bors: Just Gilly. It's too much trouble so we gave the rest of them numbers.
Lancelot: That's interesting. I thought you couldn't count.

They're not in the theatrical version, either.

The theatrical version is on DVD. I bought a copy at Best Buy, and I know Amazon carries it, too.

I think someone is pulling your leg over at imdb, because none of those lines are in either version of the movie.

Thanks but I know it's available to buy on dvd. But seeing as how I already own the director's cut I really don't want to spend more money on buying the other version. So the only way I can see it without buying it, is by renting the VHS.

Actually, that is the only one that I haven't seen. But the others are in a deleted scene can be found here. I wish they had kept that in.

I'm curious where you got these quotes, because none of them are in either version of the movie.

Galahad, in particular, would never say something like that. He's very clear about how he doesn't enjoy killing, and that after he gets his freedom it will all be just a bad memory.

I saw these over at the IMdB page.
I've seen both the director's cut and the theatatrical release (on Starz.) That's why I was suprised that I didn't recognize the quotes. Someone suggest that it might be from the novel and were taken out of the script at the last minute or something. You're right about them being so out of character, though. Maybe that's why they were taken out.

I've seen the quote attributed to Tristran. But it's on the official movie website for King Arthur. And I don't think it is Tristran's per se. I think it's used more to describe Tristran's character.

The Quotes

They are said in the Puffkins (?) book that the King Arthur movie is after. I think. King Arthur and the Knights of the Roundtable is the name of the book, again may be slightly different.
